And on the 29th day, God said, “Let there be a sliver of sunshine.”
As you know it’s been like sunny Seattle recently in Florida, but tonight I had a special treat. I had just picked up my Chick-fil-A Cobb Salad in the drive-thru from Kelsey, and as I was driving to my men’s bible study in Clearwater, I thought I saw a tiny peak-a-boo, yes in fact, nearly a full-fledged smile from the sun, and caught this beauty of a picture with the iPhone.
I have to say, that pic kicks some serious a! (Shoot Christians Say. If you find that offensive, then I find you offensive.)
Actually speaking of some sick Christian fellowship, tonight’s Chick-fil-A was consumed at, of all places, a Panera. My apologies to the Panera on 580 in Clearwater. I did, however, order a Hazelnut coffee, black, as you can attest to with visual evidence below.
Since I’ve been gallivanting around all of Africa, I hadn’t seen these guys in a while, and It was cool to see them this evening. I’m telling you, if you don’t have a group of friends around you who will really do life with you, you’re like a salmon – swimming up stream.
Don’t be a salmon.
Unless of course you should be swimming up stream, in which case it would be good to swim with some other salmon. Here’s a pic of of my fellow salmon swimmers:
I always chuckle at people who think religion is a crutch or that being a Christian is easy. Yeah, you get to live life however you want and I’m restricted by God’s standards – who’s got it tougher? Especially when the world is swimming fast and furious at you down stream? Actually, now that I think about it, you really should be a salmon. Salmon rock!
But so do chicken! They sacrifice their very lives so that I can enjoy such a sweet melody of mouth-watering goodness that is the Chick-fil-A Cobb Salad. I’ve been working my way through the menu and have run out of lunch/dinner #’s to try, so I’m on to the salads. I’ve had the Cobb before, and I’ll reiterate my previous stance – if you’re going healthy, look no further than the Cobb Salad.
According to the Chick-fil-A website, the Cobb Salad consists of: Chick-fil-A® Nuggets, pressure-cooked, sliced and served hot on a fresh bed of chopped Romaine lettuce and baby greens, topped with shredded red cabbage and carrots, roasted corn kernels, a blend of shredded Monterey Jack and Cheddar cheeses, crumbled bacon, diced eggs and grape tomatoes. Made fresh daily. Served with Charred Tomato Crispy Red Bell Peppers and Avocado Lime Ranch dressing (or guest’s choice of dressing).
Total Cost: $7.67 (no drink)
Nutritional Content of the Chick-fil-A Cobb Salad:
7g Saturated Fat
0g Trans Fat
This includes the Avocado Lime Dressing, which, is out of this world good, and those scrumptious Charred Tomato Crispy Red Bell Peppers I so despertely wanted last night. Well, got them tonight, and this salad is soooo good. Far and away my favorite salad. Of course, I haven’t tried the others, but the statement is still true. It stands as my favorite salad.
Final Every Day Rating: 10 out of 10. No question. The meal is delicious, my service was relatively fast (at 6:45 pm no less in the drive-thru), and Kelsey the server was of course nice and cordial. She was better at taking the picture too; word’s getting out about the weird blogger with photo-itis. Thanks Kelsey. Job well done.
